THE ACTING RECTOR OF THE AZERBAIJAN STATE OIL AND INDUSTRY UNIVERSITY
Welcome to the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, where history and innovation converge to fuel our collective aspirations. It is an immense pleasure to have all participants among us as we convene for the"Energy Locomotives of the Turkic World" conference.
Founded in 1920, ASOIU holds a special place as the first oil-oriented higher education institution in the Caucasus. Our history is intertwined with the energy sector, and today, we stand as a symbol of how education can be a driving force behind the transformation of oil industry income into human capital resources. We proudly celebrate our rich heritage, which has brought us to this momentous occasion.
This conference holds unique significance as it commemorates two momentous anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of the birth of National leader Haydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. These landmarks remind us of the enduring spirit of cooperation and friendship among Turkic nations. It is our privilege to host this prestigious scientific-practical event, and we are deeply grateful for the generous support from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, TIKA.
Throughout the sessions that lie ahead, we will delve into the critical aspects of energy, covering a diverse range of topics such as material science, energy circuits and machines, chemistry, energy technologies, energy policy, and petroleum-related matters. These discussions will not only expand our understanding but also offer solutions to some of the pressing challenges in the energy sector.
We recognize that in the realm of energy, as in many others, cooperation among the Turkic nations is paramount. We understand that the world's future hinges on sustainable energy practices, and to address this, we must collaborate globally. Hence, we come together not only to participate in a conference but to embark on a journey of creating"The Association of the Energy Universities of the Turkic World States." This association is poised to play a pivotal role in promoting coordinated and institutional activities, fostering academic cooperation, and building a unified scientific foundation.
The primary goal of this association is to serve the Turkic world by harnessing the collective power of science, technology, and natural resources. Our broad partnership, involving universities and research institutes across Turkic states, is fundamental to making informed decisions in the complex and evolving field of energy.
In the spirit of unity, knowledge-sharing, and progress, let us embark on this journey of discovery and cooperation. I am confident that this conference will be a cornerstone in our pursuit of energy excellence and in building lasting bridges between our nations.
Here's to a successful conference and to a brighter energy future for the Turkic world.
Thank you.
